Diag (Mind Loft)
A daily Sudoku X: both long diagonals hold 1 to 9 as well.
Every day: One diagonal sudoku (Sudoku X) a day, the same grid for every player: both long diagonals must also hold 1 to 9, with fewer printed digits as the week goes on. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern Time.

Diag is a free daily diagonal sudoku, also called Sudoku X, from Mind Loft. On top of the usual rules, each of the two long diagonals must contain every digit from 1 to 9 once, which lets the grid start with fewer printed digits.
About Diag (Mind Loft)
Diag adds one rule to classic sudoku: the two long diagonals, corner to corner, are extra houses that must each hold 1 through 9 exactly once. Rows, columns and 3x3 boxes still follow the normal rules. The diagonals are tinted and ruled across the grid, and selecting a square on one highlights the whole diagonal along with its row, column and box.
A diagonal works like any other house, so it can give you a hidden single, and the centre square, which sits on both diagonals, sees more of the board than any other. Mind Loft builds every board so the diagonals are needed: read as an ordinary sudoku, the same printed digits would allow more than one solution. Every grid still has a single solution reachable by logic. Wrong entries are not flagged, and a clean solve scores a perfect 10, with the leaderboard decided on time.
The number of printed digits falls through the week, from 26 on Monday to 16 on Saturday, and the Sunday Edition prints only fourteen. Notes, Undo, Erase, Clear, auto-move and a hint are all available. A new board arrives every day at midnight Eastern.
How to play Diag (Mind Loft)
- Open Diag and press Start.
- Tap a square, then a digit (or pick a digit and tap squares); use Notes for candidates.
- Fill the grid so every row, column, 3x3 box and both long diagonals hold 1 to 9 once.
- Finish the grid without mistakes for a perfect score.
Tips
- Scan the diagonals as houses: a digit missing from a diagonal often has only one possible square.
- The centre square sits on both diagonals, so it is heavily constrained and worth solving early.
- Wrong digits are not flagged, so double-check diagonals before you commit late in the solve.
