Frame (Mind Loft)
A daily sudoku with a sum outside every row and column end.
Every day: One frame sudoku a day, the same grid for every player: a sum outside every row and column end gives the total of the three nearest squares, and the inside prints fewer digits as the week goes on. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern Time.

Frame is a free daily frame sudoku from Mind Loft. Around a 9x9 grid, thirty-six printed sums give the total of the three squares nearest each edge, reading inward. Rows, columns and boxes still hold 1 to 9 once, and the sums let the grid start with very few digits.
About Frame (Mind Loft)
Frame is a sudoku with a border of clues. Outside each end of every row and column is a number: the sum of the first three squares reading inward from that edge. That makes thirty-six sums, all printed every day, alongside the usual rule that each row, column and 3x3 box holds 1 to 9 exactly once.
The reasoning is arithmetic on groups of three: a 6 can only be 1, 2 and 3 in some order, a 24 must be 7, 8 and 9, and the middle values are where most of the deduction happens. Selecting a square lights up the two sums that cover it. Every board has a single solution reachable by logic, and the border is always needed: the printed digits alone would allow more than one grid. Wrong entries are not flagged; a clean solve scores 10 and the leaderboard is decided on time.
Printed digits inside the grid fall through the week, from 14 on Monday to 4 on Saturday, and the Sunday Edition prints only two. Notes, Undo, Erase, Clear, auto-move and a hint are available, and a new board arrives every day at midnight Eastern.
How to play Frame (Mind Loft)
- Open Frame and press Start.
- Read the sums outside the grid; each one totals the three squares nearest that edge.
- Tap a square and a digit to fill it, or use Notes for candidates.
- Complete the grid so every row, column and box holds 1 to 9 once and every edge sum is correct.
Tips
- Extreme sums are the way in: 6 means 1, 2, 3 and 24 means 7, 8, 9 in those three squares.
- Each three-square group lies inside one box, so a sum also tells you which digits that box must hold in that strip.
- Opposite sums on the same row add up with the middle three squares to 45, which can pin down the middle.
