Daily's Traffic Jam puzzle: a 6x6 parking lot of grey cars and trucks with the blue target car facing the exit on the right, stage 1 of 3 with the timer running

Daily gives everyone the same short puzzle each day, drawn from a rotation of six games: Word Hunt, Traffic Jam, Tile Fit, Coin Maze, Air Hockey and Money Tycoon. You can play it casually as often as you like or take the separate competitive puzzle for a place on the World Rankings. It is free with ads, and you can play as a guest.

About Daily

Daily is a puzzle site at playdaily.org built around one idea: a single puzzle a day that everyone plays, with every score set next to everyone else's. Its makers describe themselves as two office workers who grew up on simple games and wanted a place to keep playing them.

The daily puzzle is not always the same kind of game. Six games take turns: Word Hunt, where you find words fast on a 4x4 letter grid; Traffic Jam, a sliding car puzzle on a 6x6 lot played over three stages from easy to hard; Tile Fit, a block placing game where you clear rows, columns and boxes; Coin Maze, where you collect every coin while staying ahead of a chaser; Air Hockey, where you collect keys in order and slide out through the exit; and Money Tycoon, a quick idle game of building income over 30 timed days.

Each day comes in two versions. Casual is a different daily puzzle you can replay as often as you like. Competitive is a separate ranked puzzle with a score and a screen lock, and it counts toward the World Rankings. The site also tracks streaks, archive results and a skill profile split into areas like logical reasoning, working memory and processing speed. A weekly Gauntlet of shared rounds sits beside the daily.

The daily puzzle, both modes, the rankings and your stats are free, with ads. Daily Pro, a yearly or one-time payment, removes the ads when you are signed in and opens the full archive of past puzzles. Daily suits players who like a short, varied challenge and a leaderboard more than one fixed puzzle type.

How to play Daily

  1. Open playdaily.org and look at the Today's puzzle card to see which game is up.
  2. Choose Play Casual to practise on a daily puzzle you can replay, or Try Competitive for the ranked one.
  3. Press Play and solve the stages before you; in Traffic Jam you drag cars along their lanes until the blue car can exit on the right.
  4. Work fast: the timer runs through every stage, and a faster total scores higher.
  5. Check your score, rank and top percentage on the card, then come back the next day for a new game.

Tips

  • Read the game's guide under Resources before your competitive try; each one explains the scoring and gives strategies.
  • Use the casual puzzle to warm up on the day's game before playing the ranked one.
  • In Traffic Jam, work backwards from the exit: find what blocks the target car, then what blocks that, and move only those vehicles.
  • The timer keeps running between stages, so start reading the next board as soon as it appears.
