Cthulhu's Reach: Devil Reef
Descend into a Lovecraftian reef, the same seeded dungeon for everyone each day.
Every day: A daily challenge, Alhazred's Challenge (Daily Tides in the leaderboards): a new globally seeded dungeon each day with the same character, weapon loadout, incantations and enemies for every player, ranked on a worldwide leaderboard by how deep and how well you do. New puzzle: Once a day; the game does not state the time.

Cthulhu's Reach: Devil Reef is a twin-stick roguelite set under Innsmouth in 1923, for one to four players, where trading sanity for power brings curses down on your run. Its daily challenge gives every player the same seeded dungeon and character, with a worldwide leaderboard.
About Cthulhu's Reach: Devil Reef
Cthulhu's Reach: Devil Reef is by The Fine Arc, published by First Break Labs, and left early access on Steam in August 2026. It is 1923, you owe a gangster money, and a tip sends you to the drowned labyrinth under Devil Reef near Innsmouth. You fight in isometric twin-stick combat, alone or with up to three others online, through procedurally generated levels across three acts.
Sanity is the centre of the game. Incantations offered by the Great Old Ones give you power at the cost of your mind, and once your sanity drops past a threshold you must pick a curse for the next level, with no skipping or rerolling. Survive it and you keep a permanent reward. Along the way you collect from more than 100 items in four rarity tiers and unlock and upgrade weapons, and enemies bleed, burn, slow and panic.
The daily challenge, introduced as Alhazred's Challenge in January 2026, is a new globally seeded dungeon each day. Every player gets the same weapon loadout, incantation set and enemy setup, and since July 2026 the same seeded character too, with meta upgrades ignored so everyone starts equal. You compete on a worldwide leaderboard to see who gets deepest into the same dungeon.
It suits players who like dark action roguelites and a fair daily run to compare with friends.

Tips
- Every incantation costs sanity; low sanity means harder curses, so do not take every offer.
- Meta upgrades do not apply in the daily, so learn to play the base characters well.
- Practise against status effects in normal runs; bleeding, burning and panic decide many fights.
