CityQ is a daily city grid in the style of Immaculate Grid. Rows and columns are categories, such as Starts with G, French-speaking country or North of the 45th parallel, and each of the nine cells needs a city that fits both. You get nine guesses and no timer, and lesser-known correct cities score better.
About CityQ (FlightQ)
CityQ is FlightQ's daily 3x3 grid for cities. Each day brings three row clues and three column clues: letters, languages, latitude, coastlines, capitals, World Cup hosts, UNESCO sites and the like. A cell at the crossing of Starts with G and UNESCO World Heritage site needs a city that is both.
You tap a cell and type a city; autocomplete handles common names and alternate spellings, and the grid checks each answer as you go. There are nine guesses, one per cell, and no time limit, so you can skip around and come back. Every correct city scores by how famous it is, and lower is better: an obscure city that fits both clues beats the obvious one.
The grid is numbered and the same for everyone, so rarity totals can be compared when you share your emoji result. CityQ sits with PassportQ, Chain and HigherQ in FlightQ's set of city games.
How to play CityQ (FlightQ)
- Open CityQ on flightq.app and read the three row and three column clues.
- Tap a cell and type a city that fits both its row and its column.
- Pick it from the autocomplete; the grid checks it right away.
- Fill all nine cells with your nine guesses, in any order and with no timer.
- Aim for lesser-known cities to keep your rarity score low, then share your grid.
Tips
- Fill the hardest crossing first while you still have guesses to spare.
- Think of a country that fits a row, then pick a smaller city in it for a low rarity score.
- Check the info marks on each clue: definitions like within 50 km of another country are strict.
- Avoid capitals unless needed: they are the most common picks and score worst.
