GeoRiddle
Fill a 3 by 3 grid with countries; rarer answers score more.
Every day: One 3 by 3 grid a day, the same for everyone: fill each cell with a country that fits its row and column, scoring more for less obvious picks, in 12 guesses. New puzzle: Midnight in your local time zone (the daily board is seeded from your device's date).

GeoRiddle is a daily country grid. Each of the nine cells needs a country that matches both its row and column category, and you have 12 guesses for the whole board. Each cell scores 5 to 100 points depending on how unexpected your answer is, so small countries beat famous ones.
About GeoRiddle
GeoRiddle puts two sets of geography categories on a 3 by 3 grid, such as continents, island nations, landlocked states or flag features. For every cell you name a country that satisfies both its row and its column, and a country can be used only once on the board.
You have 12 guesses in total. Scoring rewards the unexpected: among all valid answers for a cell, countries are ranked by population, and a small or obscure country scores 80 to 100 points while the large, obvious choice scores 5 to 29. For a cell like Europe and island nation, Iceland scores low and Malta higher. Empty cells score nothing, and your total is the day's score to share.
A practice mode gives unlimited random boards, and a session total tracks several boards in a row. It suits players of GeoGrid and Capital Control who want to be rewarded for knowing small countries.
