CharDle gathers character guessing games for many franchises on one site. Pick a show, film series, anime or video game and guess its character of the day, either by comparing traits such as affiliation, species and occupation, or by naming a picture as it is uncovered. Each game has its own daily character.

About CharDle

CharDle is a hub of Wordle-style character guessing games. Instead of one site per franchise, it puts more than 100 under one roof: TV shows such as Breaking Bad, Stranger Things and The Boys, film series such as Harry Potter and the Marvel films, anime such as Attack on Titan and Bleach, and games such as Five Nights at Freddy's and Genshin Impact.

Each franchise has two daily puzzles. In Classic, you guess a character and each trait is compared with the hidden one: things like affiliation, gender, hair, occupation, weapon, species and alignment, depending on the franchise. In Image, a picture of the character is revealed a little more with each wrong guess. The previous day's answer is shown on the game page, and your result can be shared with the date.

Beyond the daily puzzles there is an Infinite mode for more rounds, a multiplayer mode for up to 12 friends, a friends list for comparing stats, and community games that players build for franchises the official list does not cover.

The site is run by Chardle LLC. Its About page credits Cai C. as creator and Dang Phung as developer, and names OnePiecedle and AniGuessr as the games that inspired it. It suits fans who would rather keep several franchise -dles in one place.

How to play CharDle

  1. Open CharDle and pick a franchise from the library, or search for one.
  2. Choose Classic or Image mode.
  3. In Classic, type a character's name and read how each of their traits compares with the hidden character.
  4. Use the matching and non-matching traits to narrow the cast and guess again.
  5. In Image, name the character as the picture is uncovered, with more shown after each miss.
  6. Share your result, then move on to another franchise or try Infinite mode.

Tips

  • Add the franchises you play to your favourites so they are at the top of the library each day.
  • In Classic, open with a character whose traits split the cast, such as a member of a large faction.
  • Image mode rewards knowing costumes and colour schemes, not only faces.
  • Sign in to keep your stats and streaks across devices.
  • Yesterday's answer is shown on each game page if you missed a day.

Questions

Is every franchise a separate daily puzzle?

Yes. Each game in the library has its own character of the day, in both Classic and Image mode.

When does CharDle reset?

At midnight on your own clock: the game keys the daily puzzle to your local date.

Can I play more than once a day?

Yes, Infinite mode gives extra rounds, and multiplayer lets you play with up to 12 friends. The daily puzzle stays one per day.

Can I make my own game?

Yes. Signed-in players can build a character guessing game for any franchise and share it with others.
