Alibi (Mind Loft)
A nightly manor mystery solved on three logic-grid boards.
Every day: One whodunit logic grid a day, the same case for every player: work out where each guest was, when they left and what they carried, with a streak and a daily leaderboard. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern Time.

Alibi is a free daily logic puzzle from Mind Loft in the style of the Einstein or zebra puzzle. Something has gone missing from a manor, and a list of true witness statements lets you work out which room each guest was in, when they left and what they were carrying. Every case has exactly one solution.
About Alibi (Mind Loft)
Alibi dresses a classic logic grid as a country-house mystery. Each night four guests were each alone in a different room of the manor, each left at a different hour and each carried a different item. The witness statements on the left are all true; your job is to turn them into a complete picture of the evening.
The work happens on three deduction boards, one for rooms, one for departure times and one for items carried. Tap a cell to cross out a pairing a statement rules out, hold it (or right-click) to confirm one, and tap a statement to strike it once you have used it. When every guest has exactly one mark on each board you file your accusation. Mind Loft builds each case with a constraint solver and checks that it has a single solution, so careful elimination always reaches the end without guessing.
A new case opens every day at midnight Eastern, and the Sunday Edition adds a fifth guest. Wrong accusations count against you, and the leaderboard compares results and times on the same case. It suits anyone who enjoys pencil-and-paper logic grids and wants one short, fair one a day.

Tips
- Start with statements that fix a pairing outright, such as a guest carrying a named item, and confirm those first.
- Once a pairing is confirmed, cross out the rest of its row and column on that board straight away.
- Statements about order (left before) rule out the earliest or latest hour for a guest even before you know the exact time.
Questions
What time does Alibi reset?
A new Alibi case goes up every day at midnight US Eastern Time, the same for every player. Sundays bring a bigger Sunday Edition with five guests instead of four.
Is Alibi free?
Yes. Alibi plays in the browser on Mind Loft with no app and no account. Signing up with a display name (no password) puts your result on the daily leaderboard; an email is optional.
Can I play earlier Alibi puzzles?
Yes. Mind Loft keeps an archive of past Alibi boards together with each day's standings.
Do I ever have to guess in Alibi?
No. Each case is generated and machine-checked to have exactly one solution that follows from the statements.
