Every day: One numbered word a day tied to one song excerpt, the same for every player of an edition, guessed with Wordle-style colours. New puzzle: Each morning (one word a day; the French edition can have its own song and word).

Wordzic is a daily music Wordle. You play a short excerpt of a song and then guess a hidden word linked to it, a word that might be the artist, part of the title or something the track suggests. Letter colours guide your guesses, and after five valid guesses you can reveal the song's title and artist.
About Wordzic
Wordzic gives everyone one song excerpt and one hidden word each day. The board shows a row of empty squares for the word's length and a line telling you how many letters to type. Under it is a player for the excerpt, with buttons to skip five seconds back or forward. The word can be a city, an animal, an object, a sport, a profession or an idea linked to the song, so listening closely matters.
You type words of exactly that length. Each guess colours its letters: green for the right place, yellow for a letter that is in the word elsewhere, and dark for one that is not in it. You can guess as many times as you like, since you never lose; your score is how many guesses you needed and how many hints you opened. After five valid guesses a hint unlocks, naming the song and its artist.
Songs range from the sixties to new releases. The share button copies your grid as coloured squares with no letters, so nothing is spoiled. Wordzic is free with no account, comes in several languages including English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, and its maker, Julien Ancel, also makes the music games Linkzic and SongTrivia.
It suits Wordle players who like music and want a puzzle where the song is part of the clue.
How to play Wordzic
- Turn up the volume and press play to hear the day's excerpt.
- Count the visible squares: the hidden word has that many letters.
- Type a word of that length and submit it.
- Read the colours: green is the right place, yellow is elsewhere in the word, dark is not in it.
- Keep guessing, and after five valid guesses open the hint to see the song's title and artist.
Tips
- Listen to the whole excerpt before guessing: the word often comes from the lyrics or the mood.
- Think beyond the title: the answer can be any idea the song brings to mind.
- Use early guesses with common letters to learn the word's shape, then let the song steer you.
- Save the hint until the colours stop helping; it counts against your score.
