Every day: One Daily run a day with the same letter pairs for everyone: survive round after round of first-and-last-letter prompts and compare your score on the daily chart. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Wordends shows you two letters and asks for a word that begins with one and ends with the other. The Daily run gives every player the same letter pairs, getting harder each round, until you miss one.
About Wordends
Wordends is a quick browser word game built on one rule: two letters appear, and you type a word that starts with the first and ends with the second. Every letter of your word scores a point, so a long answer is worth more than a safe short one, and a missed round ends the run.
The Daily mode serves the same sequence of letter pairs to everyone that day. Early rounds are warm-ups with hundreds of words that fit; later ones narrow to a handful, and the game tells you how many words would have worked. When your run ends, a chart shows your score against the day's other runs.
Besides the daily, the site has Endless play, ranked Duels against another player or a bot with an Elo-style rating, and private rooms to play a friend through a link. No sign-up is needed; your rating is kept in the browser.
It suits players who like fast vocabulary recall rather than slow deduction: a daily run takes a few minutes, and the reward is finding the long word under pressure.

Tips
- Common endings such as -ed, -er, -ly and -s give you a quick fallback when the timer is short.
- Reach for a longer word when you have time: every letter is a point.
- Late rounds have few fitting words, so think of prefixes for the first letter and suffixes for the last at once.
