Infixion is a daily word game built around an infix, a short string of letters shown at the top of the screen. You submit four different words that contain it, and each word is scored by the rarity of its other letters, with repeated letters worth less each time.
About Infixion
Infixion is a small web word game from Digitulp. Each day it shows one infix, a fragment like OCO, and every player works with the same fragment. Once you submit, your total can be compared on a global leaderboard for that day's infix.
The task is to write four unique words that each contain the infix somewhere inside them, and every word must add at least one letter of its own. Letters outside the infix score points by rarity: common letters are worth little, rare ones more. The catch is that each letter is worth one point less every time you use it again across your words, so a varied set beats four long words that share the same letters.
That makes it more of a planning puzzle than a vocabulary test: you weigh a long word against the letters it uses up for the others. Once all four words are valid, you lock them in with Submit and cannot change them.
It suits players who like Scrabble-style scoring and want a quick daily challenge to compare with friends. You can play as a guest; an account (including sign-in with itch.io) keeps your progress across devices.
How to play Infixion
- Look at the day's infix at the top of the screen.
- Type a word that contains the infix and adds at least one letter outside it.
- Repeat until you have four different valid words.
- Watch the score on each letter; repeated letters are worth one point less each time.
- Press Submit to lock in your words and see how you rank.
