UFClue is a free daily guessing game about UFC fighters. Each day a new fighter is picked from the current rankings, and you have ten guesses to find them, with each guess compared on division, age, wins, losses, height and country.

About UFClue

UFClue is a browser game that takes the idea of Wordle and applies it to the UFC. Instead of a word, the answer is a fighter, and the pool is kept to fighters who are currently ranked in any division, so that the answer is someone a regular viewer has a fair chance of knowing. The page notes the date its fighter data was last updated.

Every day a new fighter is picked. You type a name into the search box and choose a fighter from the list, and a row appears in the table showing that fighter's division, age, wins, losses, height in inches and country. A green cell means an exact match with the day's fighter. A yellow cell on age, wins, losses or height means you are within two, and the number cells carry an arrow pointing up or down toward the right value.

You have ten guesses. When you find the fighter, the page names them and counts down to the next pick; if you run out of guesses, it tells you who it was. A stats panel keeps your games played, wins, current streak and longest streak in the browser, with no account needed.

It suits MMA fans who follow the rankings closely and like narrowing down a name by weight class and record. Because the pool is ranked fighters only, knowing who sits in each division's top fifteen helps more than knowing career trivia.

How to play UFClue

  1. Open UFClue and type a fighter's name into the Guess the fighter box.
  2. Pick a fighter from the list to add a row with their division, age, wins, losses, height and country.
  3. Read the colours: green is an exact match, yellow on a number means it is off by two or less, and the arrows show whether the answer is higher or lower.
  4. Use what you learn to narrow your next guess, and find the fighter within ten guesses.
  5. Check Stats for your streak and come back after the countdown for the next fighter.

Tips

  • Start with a fighter from a middle weight class so the division and height columns tell you which way to move.
  • Only currently ranked fighters are in the pool, so think through each division's rankings rather than retired names.
  • A yellow wins or losses cell means the record is within two, which can quickly separate fighters in the same division.
  • Country is an exact match only, so once it turns green, list the ranked fighters from that country first.
