You type the name of any UFC fighter and press Guess. A row fills in with six boxes: division, height, reach, age, stance and nation. A green box is an exact match. A yellow box means close: within two inches, within two years, one weight class away, or from the same continent. Arrows show whether the secret fighter is higher or lower, and on division an up arrow means a heavier class. After your third guess a first hint opens with the fighter's record and ranking, and after the fifth a one-line clue.

The daily fighter is the same for every player and changes at midnight in your own time zone. The pool is drawn from current champions, ranked contenders and well-known legends, with rankings and records refreshed from the official UFC rankings; the page notes when they were last updated. Your streak and guess distribution are kept in the browser, and you can share a grid of coloured squares that does not give away the answer.

If one fighter a day is not enough, Unlimited mode deals a new random fighter each game, and Hard mode widens the pool to every ranked UFC fighter. Tips

• Division narrows things fastest: an up arrow means a heavier class, and yellow means you are one class away.
• Height and reach turn yellow within two inches, so a yellow on both pins the size closely.
• A yellow nation means the same continent, so your next guess should come from a different country there.
• Save the hints for last: the record and ranking after guess three often separate two fighters with the same measurements.
• Stance splits the field quickly when you are down to a few names, since southpaws and switch fighters are fewer.
