About FootyFox Premier League Wordle
FootyFox runs daily football player guessing games for the Champions League, the Premier League and La Liga. This is its Premier League game: one mystery player a day from the current squads, the same for every player, with a streak counter at the top of the board. The page calls it a Premier League Wordle, but it is a guess-the-player game rather than a word puzzle.
You search for a player by name and pick him from the list. His row fills in six columns. Age turns green on an exact match and yellow within two years, with an arrow pointing older or younger. Country is green for the same nation and yellow for the same continent. Position is green on an exact match and yellow for the neighbouring line, between goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward. Team is green for the same club and yellow when your club is in the same part of the country as the answer's, and a Region column names that area. Shirt number is green on an exact match and yellow within four, with an arrow up or down.
You have ten guesses. The page also describes the pool the answer comes from, around 550 players across 20 clubs from 65 countries, and links a page for each club listing the full squad, which helps when the club clue turns green. A Region guide on the board explains the areas used.
It suits fans who know squads well enough to reason from a shirt number or a nationality. With ten tries and graded clues it is a little gentler than the six-guess player games, and the answer can be any squad player, not only the stars.

Tips
- Open with a player in his mid-twenties, since the age clue then says the most.
- A country guess cuts the field quickly, because no single country holds more than about a third of the pool.
- When Team is yellow, open the Region guide to see which clubs share that area.
- Once you have the club, check its squad page and use the shirt number arrows to close in.
