Player of the Day: Premier LeagueFutbolle, all its football games

Player of the Day is Futbolle's original game: pick a league, guess a footballer, and see how his team, nation, position, age and shirt number compare with the hidden player's. Green is exact, yellow is close, and arrows point age and shirt number up or down. Each of six leagues has its own player every day.
About Player of the Day (Futbolle)
Player of the Day is the game the Futbolle site grew from. You choose one of six leagues, the Super Lig, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga or Ligue 1, and each has its own numbered mystery player of the day, so you can play all six.
You search for a footballer and pick him from the list. A row then compares him with the hidden player across five columns: team, nation, position, age and shirt number. Green means an exact match. Yellow means close: a nation on the same continent, a neighbouring position, or an age or shirt number only a little off. Grey means wrong, and an arrow on age and shirt number shows whether the answer is higher or lower. You have eight guesses.
Squads, nationalities, positions, birth dates and shirt numbers come from Wikipedia and are refreshed as transfers happen, with ages worked out live. A new player is picked at midnight in your own time zone, the same for everyone in a league on that date. Your score is the number of guesses you needed, and the share button copies a spoiler-free grid; streaks and stats stay on your device with no account.
The site can be played in English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Turkish. It suits fans who follow a league closely enough to know its shirt numbers.

Tips
- Open with a mid-twenties midfielder from a mid-table club: his attributes tell you something whatever the answer.
- Trust the arrows on age over your instinct.
- Shirt numbers cluster by position, so a low number with an up arrow rules out most defenders.
- When stuck, spend a guess testing a nation or position you have not tried.
