TuneTwist rewrites five song titles each day by swapping their words for synonyms, so Wrecking Ball becomes Demolition Sphere. You type the real title, with unlimited guesses and paid-for hints, then try for the artist and release year to earn a star.

About TuneTwist

TuneTwist is a daily wordplay game about songs. Each day it takes five well-known song titles and replaces some or all of their words with synonyms while keeping the structure, so Shape of You turns into Form of You. Your job is to work back from the twisted version to the real title.

The five songs climb in difficulty: an easy one with small changes, two medium ones with a few swaps, a hard one that is more abstract, and a fifth that is a throwback or a TikTok-era hit. Each song shows its genre and decade, such as country from the 2000s. Guesses are unlimited and forgiving: capitals, punctuation, small words like the and of, and minor typos do not count against you.

If you are stuck, hints reveal more, such as the artist or part of the title, but each one lowers the points that song can earn. A song is worth up to 1,000 points, so 5,000 is a perfect day. Solve a title with no hints and then name its artist and exact release year, and you earn a star, up to five a day.

A new set arrives at midnight, and every past day since launch can be played from the archive. It suits music fans who like puns and wordplay as much as listening.

How to play TuneTwist

  1. Open TuneTwist and start today's puzzle.
  2. Read the twisted title, with its genre and decade, and think about which words were swapped.
  3. Type the real song title and submit; wrong guesses cost nothing.
  4. Take a hint if you are stuck, knowing it lowers that song's points.
  5. After each title, guess the artist and release year for a chance at a star, then move to the next song.

Tips

  • Say the twisted title out loud and look for a familiar rhythm; the word count and structure stay the same.
  • Use the genre and decade tag to narrow the field before you guess.
  • Short connecting words are kept, so they anchor where the swapped words sit.
  • Skip the year guess only if you are unsure; an exact year is needed for the star.
