Treasure Guessr
Rate itFind the day's treasure on the world map from a close-up street map of the spot.
Every day: A numbered daily treasure (Daily Challenge #474 on 5 October), the same spot for everyone, in a Normal and an Expert version: find it on the world map from a close-up map of the place before the clock runs out. New puzzle: Once a day, with a new numbered challenge.

Treasure Guessr shows you a close-up map of a hidden spot and a world map below it. You pan and zoom the world map until you think you are on the spot, then dig. A new numbered treasure comes each day in Normal and Expert, and players share more treasures on Discord.
About Treasure Guessr
Treasure Guessr is a map-reading game built on OpenStreetMap. The screen is split in two. The top half shows the treasure's location close up, as a street map with buildings, paths and labels, with zoom levels you can step through to see more of the surroundings. The bottom half is a world map. You navigate it, under a timer, until you think you have found the spot, then press Dig here.
The tutorial example puts the treasure under the Eiffel Tower, but the daily spots can be anywhere. Each day brings a numbered Daily Challenge, the same for everyone, in a Normal version and a harder Expert one. Scores are shared on the game's Discord, where players also post community treasures; you can make your own with Create custom treasure.
The game is credited to maflebel and antoine of Pink Bean Studio. It suits players who like reading maps more than recognising landmarks from photos: the clues are street names, rivers, parks and the shape of the roads.
How to play Treasure Guessr
- Open Treasure Guessr and choose Normal or Expert for today's Daily Challenge.
- Study the close-up map at the top, and step through its zoom levels to see more of the area.
- Pan and zoom the world map at the bottom toward where you think the spot is.
- When the two maps line up, press Dig here before the timer runs out.
- Share your score on Discord or try a community treasure.

Tips
- Step out to the widest zoom level on the top map first: coastlines, rivers and big roads are easier to find on a world map than a single street.
- Read the street and place labels; their language often tells you the country.
- Zoom in on the world map only once you are sure of the city, to save time.
- Try Normal before Expert until you are used to the controls.
