Tinta
Colour the grid from count chips and = and ≠ signs, one shared grid a day.
Every day: A new colour grid every day, the same for everyone, with its size set by the weekday: 5x5 early in the week, 6x6 on Thursday and Friday, four colours on Saturday and 7x7 on Sunday. The last 14 dailies stay playable. New puzzle: Once a day (the listing does not state the time).

Tinta is a colour deduction puzzle for iPhone and iPad, a cousin of sudoku, binairo and nonograms. Every grid hides one colouring that can be worked out from the clues without guessing. A daily grid, the same for every player, grows from 5x5 early in the week to 7x7 on Sunday.
About Tinta
Each Tinta grid hides a secret colouring with exactly one solution. Two kinds of clue lead you to it. Count chips beside each row and column say how many cells of a given colour sit in that line, and small = and ≠ markers between neighbouring cells say whether the two share a colour or differ. You pick a colour from the palette and tap a cell to fill it; a pencil lets you rule out colours cell by cell, and undo and eraser are always there.
The daily puzzle is one grid a day, the same for everyone, and its size follows the week: 5x5 early in the week, 6x6 on Thursday and Friday, a four-colour grid on Saturday and 7x7 on Sunday. Solving keeps a streak going, and you can share your result, with stars, mistakes and streak, without spoiling the grid. If you miss a day, the last 14 dailies stay open.
Beyond the daily there are 360 grids from 4x4 to 7x7 with three or four colours, arranged in worlds, all generated and checked by a logic engine. Hints do not just fill a cell; they point to one and explain the reason, such as a row that already has its two pink cells. Three hints a day are free, and a live check can fade out satisfied chips and flag broken rules.
There is no timer, no lives and no coins. Tinta is free; ads are rare, never shown during a grid or after the daily puzzle, and a one-time purchase removes them. Each colour also has its own symbol for colour-blind players. It is made by Nicolas Zanette of AppCraft31 and came out in July 2026, available in ten languages.
How to play Tinta
- Open the daily puzzle from the home screen.
- Read the count chips: each says how many cells of one colour are in that row or column.
- Use the = and ≠ markers: linked neighbours share a colour or must differ.
- Pick a colour and tap a cell to fill it; use the pencil to rule colours out.
- Fill the whole grid correctly to finish, then share your result and keep your streak.

Tips
- Start with chips showing 0: that colour is ruled out of the whole line.
- A line whose chips add up to its length is fully determined in counts; check the ≠ signs to place them.
- Chains of = markers act as one block of a single colour.
- Turn on the colour symbols if two shades look alike on your screen.
