The Daily Burgle
Name films whose plot summaries contain the words locked in the day's vault.
Every day: One numbered Word Vault a day, the same for everyone: a bank of words to unlock by naming films whose plot summaries contain them, in a limited number of attempts. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

The Daily Burgle is a film word puzzle from the makers of CineNerdle. Each day's vault holds a set of words, usually nine, and you burgle them by naming films whose plot descriptions use them. Every vault hides a heist film that unlocks all nine in one go, and signed-in players can replay past vaults from an archive.
About The Daily Burgle
The Daily Burgle is a daily puzzle from CineNerdle that mixes film knowledge with word play. Instead of guessing a single title, you are given a Word Vault: a bank of words, and your job is to unlock as many of them as you can by naming films whose plot summaries contain those words.
Each attempt is one film. You search for a title, and the game checks that film's plot description against the vault. Any vault words that appear in it are burgled. You have a fixed number of attempts, shown on the board, and the aim is to burgle all the words using as few film plots as possible. A film can only be used once.
Every standard vault of nine words has a hidden Heist film whose plot contains all nine at once. Some days bring an XL vault with more words, and those have two heist films that each unlock at least half of the vault. After you finish, the results show which films other players used, under Best Burgles and Today's % Burgled.
Your statistics track vaults burgled, heists found, words burgled and your streak. With a free account you can open the Vault Archive and replay earlier puzzles. The game suits people who remember what films are about, not just who is in them.
How to play The Daily Burgle
- Open thedailyburgle.app and read the words in today's Word Vault.
- Think of a film whose plot summary might use several of those words.
- Search for the film and burgle with its plot; any vault words in the summary are unlocked.
- Keep going within your limited attempts until you have burgled every word or run out.
- Try to find the Heist film, whose plot contains all nine words.
Tips
- Read the words as a story: if they suggest a robbery at sea or a family reunion, search for films with that plot.
- Go for broad, eventful plots first; long summaries tend to contain more vault words.
- Save rare or odd words for the end and look for a film where that word would be natural in a synopsis.
- Check the Best Burgles after playing to learn which kinds of plots pay off.
