TerraeQuest
Pick the country with the highest, the lowest or the closest value on the day's statistic.
Every day: Three rounds a day, the same for every player: find the country with the highest value, the lowest value, or the value closest to a target on a given statistic. New puzzle: At midnight UTC.

TerraeQuest is a daily geography game about country statistics. Each day it sets three rounds: find the country with the highest value, the one with the lowest value, and the one closest to a target, on statistics such as population, area or GDP per head. Fewer mistakes earn more stars.
About TerraeQuest
TerraeQuest tests how well you know the numbers behind the world's countries. Its daily challenge has three modes. In Maximum you look for the country with the highest value on a statistic such as population, area or GDP per capita, in Minimum you look for the lowest, and in Target you look for the country whose value is closest to a figure shown on screen.
The game is made by an independent developer who signs as C3-Peyo and is part of a family of daily quest games that also includes HeatMapQuest and HistoriaQuest. It is free with ads, available in English and French, and a premium tier adds unlimited Survival and the archive. The data covers the 194 countries recognised as independent, drawn from public international databases.
Each round starts with up to five stars, and every wrong answer lowers the stars you can earn; you can still play on to find the answer. Rounds score 10 points per star, with a bonus for a perfect round and up to 25 percent extra for a long daily streak. After a round you see how you compare with players who scored the same, and at the end you get a spoiler-free star grid to share.
Beyond the daily rounds there is a Weekly Survival, where everyone faces the same chain of questions with ten shared lives, plus weekly and monthly leaderboards and private leagues. It suits players who like comparing countries by numbers rather than by maps or flags.
How to play TerraeQuest
- Open one of the day's three modes: Maximum, Minimum or Target.
- Read the statistic, and the target value in Target mode.
- Pick the country you think fits best.
- If you are wrong, use what you learned to try again, knowing each miss costs a star.
- Finish all three modes and share your star grid.
Tips
- Start with the most extreme countries you can think of for Maximum and Minimum, such as very large or very small states.
- Small island and city states often hold the record lows (or highs) for per-person figures.
- A wrong guess still tells you something: use its value to narrow the range for the next try.
Questions
Is the challenge the same for everyone?
Yes. A new set of three rounds is generated at midnight UTC and is identical for all players.
Do I need an account?
No. A nickname and a local identifier are created after your first game; an account only adds syncing and extended stats.
How is it scored?
10 points per star, a 5 point bonus for a perfect round, and a streak bonus of 2 percent per day up to 25 percent.
What is Survival?
A weekly mode where everyone faces the same chain of rounds with ten shared lives; it resets every Wednesday.
