About Tents and Trees

Tents and Trees is a Steam version of the classic grid logic puzzle of the same name, by Frozax Games, released in April 2024 for Windows. The developers describe it as having a touch of Picross in its spirit, and the feel is calm and tidy.

Each level is a grid with some trees in it and a number at the end of every row and column. You place exactly one tent next to each tree, horizontally or vertically, so that each row and column holds the stated number of tents. Tents may not touch each other, not even diagonally. Every level has exactly one solution, so it can always be solved by reasoning.

Beyond the hundreds of fixed levels, which grow larger and harder as you go, the game adds new daily levels each day, in easier and harder versions, so there is always something fresh to solve. A hint system explains the next step of the reasoning instead of simply revealing it, and leaderboards let you compare.

There is a local co-op mode for up to four players working on the same puzzle, plus unlockable themes, music tracks and a dark mode. It suits fans of picross and sudoku-style deduction who want a gentle daily grid.

How to play Tents and Trees

1. Buy and install Tents and Trees on Steam.
2. Open today's daily level.
3. Place one tent next to each tree so every row and column matches its number.
4. Make sure no two tents touch, even diagonally, until the grid is complete.

Tips

• Rows or columns marked 0 can be filled with grass straight away.
• Mark every cell next to a placed tent as empty, since tents cannot touch.
• A tree with only one free neighbour must have its tent there.
