The Special Daily Tents on puzzle-tents.com is one large campsite grid a day, the same for everyone. You pair every tree with a tent next to it, keep tents from touching even at a corner, and match the number of tents in each row and column to the clues around the edge.
About Daily Tents
Tents starts with a field of grass and trees. Each tree needs exactly one tent placed directly beside it, above, below, left or right, and each tent belongs to exactly one tree. No two tents may touch, not even diagonally. The numbers outside the grid say how many tents go in each row and each column, which is usually what pins down the harder parts of the field.
Puzzle-tents.com has Easy and Hard grids from 6x6 to 15x15, plus Special Daily, Weekly and Monthly puzzles. The daily is one dated grid that everyone plays that day; on 2 October 2026 it was 20 by 20. Settings can place grass around each tent for you, show counters of how many tents are still needed in each line, and let you link a tent to its tree. The site shows ads; patrons can remove them and reopen the last 30 daily puzzles.
Tents has a friendly look and rules that take a minute to learn, so it suits newcomers to logic grids, while the large daily gives regulars plenty of pairing to sort out. Anyone who likes the no-touching rule in Star Battle or Queens will feel at home.
How to play Daily Tents
- Open puzzle-tents.com and choose Special Daily Tents.
- Place a tent next to each tree, directly above, below, left or right of it.
- Mark cells that cannot hold a tent as grass; an option can do this around each tent automatically.
- Keep every tent clear of every other tent, including diagonally, and pair each tent with its own tree.
- Match the tent counts shown for every row and column, then press Done (or Enter) to check.
Tips
- Any cell that is not beside a tree can never hold a tent; mark those as grass first.
- Rows and columns with a clue of 0 are all grass, which often leaves a tree with only one open neighbour.
- A tree with a single free neighbouring cell must have its tent there, and that tent clears the eight cells around it.
- When a line already has its full count of tents, every remaining cell in it is grass.
Questions
Can a tent be diagonal to its tree?
No. Each tent must be beside its tree horizontally or vertically. Diagonal only matters for the rule that tents never touch each other.
When does the daily Tents puzzle change?
At midnight UTC, following the date on the site's clock, which runs on UTC.
Is it free?
Yes, with ads. Patrons can remove the ads and go back through the last 30 daily puzzles.
