Table Puzzles daily puzzles on Puzzleship

Table Puzzles seat guests around a numbered round table. Clues say who sits beside whom, who is directly opposite, and who has a particular seat. The table wraps around, so the last seat is next to the first.

About Table Puzzles (Puzzleship)

Each seat starts with every guest as a candidate. You rule guests out of seats, seat them, and the table fills in by elimination. Clues name exact seats, neighbours, opposite pairs and other positions, and exactly one seating fits them all.

Direction clues are read from the reference guest's own chair, not from your view of the screen: directly to the right of someone means on their right hand as they face the table. The round table is what makes it tricky, because a circle has no ends to pin a neighbour clue down, and seat one sits beside the highest-numbered seat.

Puzzleship publishes six tables of Table Puzzles a day, graded from very easy to ultra hard. Each day's tables are numbered and dated, the same for every player, and appear at midnight in your own time zone; earlier days stay playable in the archive. The site is free with ads, and a premium plan removes them.

How to play Table Puzzles (Puzzleship)

  1. Open Table Puzzles and pick one of the day's six tables.
  2. Seat anyone whose exact seat is given.
  3. Click a guest once to rule them out of a seat, twice to seat them, a third time to clear.
  4. Apply neighbour and opposite clues, reading left and right from the reference guest's chair.
  5. Finish when every seat has its guest.

Tips

  • Anchor exact-seat clues first.
  • Opposite pairs are stronger than neighbour pairs.
  • Remember the first and last seats are neighbours.
  • Picture yourself in the reference guest's chair for left and right.
