Every day: Six numbered English words a day (Spellee #84 on Oct 5, 2026), the same for every player worldwide, climbing from easy to brutal; one try per word and limited replays. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Spellee is a daily audio spelling bee on the language site OwnSlides. Six real English words are read aloud by a natural voice, from words everyone knows to loanwords and silent-letter traps, and you type the spelling of each. You get one try per word and limited replays.
About Spellee (OwnSlides)
Spellee is one of the daily games on OwnSlides, a language-learning platform. Each numbered day brings six English words in a ladder of difficulty. You press Play the word to hear it, then type how it is spelled; a row of six locks across the top fills in as you go.
There is one try per word, and replays of the audio are limited, so the game rewards careful listening. The words are chosen to have one standard dictionary spelling, so homophones and words with several accepted spellings are left out. As you play you also see each word's meaning and usage.
A new set appears at midnight UTC, with a countdown on the page and a leaderboard of the day's scores. You can play without an account; signing up saves your streak and stats, earns points, adds you to the leaderboard and unlocks extra practice rounds. OwnSlides also runs Speakle, a pronunciation game, and Langle, a guess-the-language game.
