Every day: One numbered phrase a day (Speakle #84 on Oct 5, 2026), the same for everyone worldwide, to say aloud three times for a pronunciation score from 0 to 100, with a daily leaderboard and a countdown to the next. New puzzle: Midnight UTC (on Oct 5, 2026 the countdown to the next puzzle ended at 00:00 UTC).

Speakle is a daily pronunciation game on the language site OwnSlides. Everyone gets the same hard English phrase, and you record yourself saying it three times; each try is scored from 0 to 100 with word-by-word feedback. The first try is blind, then a native recording unlocks, and your best counts.
About Speakle (OwnSlides)
Speakle is one of the daily games on OwnSlides, a language-learning platform. Each numbered day brings one phrase that is genuinely hard to say: tongue-twisters and trap words that even native speakers trip over. You press Reveal today's challenge, read it, and tap the microphone to record.
You get three recordings. The first is blind, with no audio help; after it, the native pronunciation unlocks so you can listen before your other two tries. Each recording is scored instantly from 0 to 100, with feedback on each word, and the best of the three is your result. The phonetic transcription is shown once you are done.
A countdown shows when the next phrase arrives, and today's leaderboard ranks players worldwide. You can play without signing up, but a free account saves your streak, earns points and puts you on the leaderboard. The game needs a microphone and browser permission to use it.
How to play Speakle (OwnSlides)
- Open Speakle on ownslides.com and press Reveal today's challenge.
- Read the phrase, then tap the microphone and say it aloud.
- See your score from 0 to 100 and which words were off.
- Listen to the native pronunciation, which unlocks after your first try, then record again.
- Your best of three recordings counts; share it or check the leaderboard.
Tips
- Read the phrase silently twice before the blind try: most mistakes come from rushing.
- Slow down on clusters of similar sounds; clarity scores better than speed.
- Use the native recording after your first try and copy its stress, not just its sounds.
- Record somewhere quiet so the scoring hears you clearly.
