Spelldle 101 is a daily guessing game for Wizard101 players. Each guess is a spell from the game, and a row of coloured cells tells you which of its school, pip cost, archmastery, arc, source, effect types and targets match the hidden spell of the day.

About Spelldle 101

Spelldle 101 is a fan-made daily game built around the spell cards of Wizard101, KingsIsle Entertainment's online wizard game. A new spell is chosen at midnight UTC, the date shows under the title, and a countdown says when the next one comes.

You guess by picking a spell from a searchable list of 482. Each guess adds a row comparing it with the answer across eight columns: the spell, its school (Fire, Ice, Storm, Myth, Life, Death or Balance), pip cost, archmastery, the story arc it comes from, how it is obtained (trainer, quest, spellement, recipe, drop and more), its effect types and its targets. Cells turn green for an exact match, amber for a partial one and grey for none. Effect types get extra detail: a matching category with the wrong subtype, such as ward against a trap instead of a shield, is shown half lit, and an effect paired with the right target is linked by colour.

Smart filters can narrow the list to spells that fit what you know or strike out the ones already ruled out, and a hint lets you reveal a column. Beyond the daily, a calendar opens past days' spells, a random mode picks any spell, and you can send a friend a link to a spell of your choosing. Streaks are kept in the browser, and signing in with Google keeps them across devices and puts you on the leaderboards. The game is free and not affiliated with KingsIsle.

Tips

  • Open with a spell whose school and arc you are unsure of; those two columns cut the 482 spells down quickly.
  • Watch the effect type cell closely: a half-lit category like ward or charm tells you the kind of spell even when the subtype is wrong.
  • Turn on Eliminate wrong after a few guesses so the list only shows spells that still fit.
  • In the Pip Cost column a school pip counts as two regular pips, so keep that in mind when comparing costs.
