Simple Sudoku on an iPad: a 9x9 sudoku in progress with a timer, notes toggle and number buttons

Simple Sudoku is a tidy 9x9 sudoku app with a daily challenge. After you solve the day's puzzle, a dated global statistics screen shows a world map of where people played and ranks the top countries by time, so you help put your own country on the board.

About Simple Sudoku: Daily Puzzles

Simple Sudoku is a straightforward sudoku app for iPhone and iPad: a classic 9x9 grid, number buttons, a notes mode, undo, erase and a limited number of hints.

It is published by Taiwo Omisore, who also makes the trivia app Qwiz, and arrived on the App Store in 2025.

The twist is the daily challenge. Each day's puzzle has a global statistics page for that date, with a map showing which countries players solved from, a top three of countries by time, and a list of active countries with player counts and times. Your solve counts towards your country, so the daily works as a small international race. Streak rewards, achievements and personal statistics track your own progress.

You can also play at several difficulty levels outside the daily. It suits sudoku players who want a plain interface plus a reason to solve quickly each day.
