ReHeardle
Name the day's song from the first seconds of its intro, with six tries.
Every day: One song intro a day, the same for everyone: the first try plays two seconds of it and each skip or wrong guess plays more, up to 17 seconds, with six tries. Besides the main pop edition, the site has daily editions for 80s songs, 90s songs, video game music and movie themes. New puzzle: Midnight in your own time zone (the game counts days on the player's local date).

ReHeardle brings back the original Heardle format: you hear the opening two seconds of a song, a longer stretch after each skip or miss, and you have six tries to name it. The main game draws on big streaming hits, and the site runs separate daily editions for 80s songs, 90s songs, video game music and movie themes.
About ReHeardle
ReHeardle, billed by the site as Heardle reborn, recreates the song intro game that spread in 2022. Each day there is one song for everyone, and the aim is to recognise it from as little of the opening as possible.
You start with two seconds of the intro. Every skip or wrong guess adds more, in steps of 3, 5, 8, 12 and 17 seconds, and after six tries the answer is shown. Guesses are picked from a search list of titles and artists, so you only need to recognise the song, not spell it. The audio comes from SoundCloud.
The main edition leans on the most played pop and hip hop of the streaming era: the game's song list starts with tracks such as Blinding Lights, Shape of You, Dance Monkey and bad guy, with older favourites such as Bohemian Rhapsody mixed in. If that is not your area, the site has its own daily editions for 80s hits, 90s hits, video game music and movie themes, each with a separate song and score.
A countdown shows the time to the next song, which arrives at midnight on your device's clock, and your results are kept in the browser so you can build a streak and share a spoiler-free result.
How to play ReHeardle
- Press play to hear the first two seconds of today's song.
- Search for the song by title or artist and pick it from the list, or skip to hear a longer clip.
- Each skip or wrong answer unlocks more of the intro: 3, 5, 8, 12 and then 17 seconds.
- Name it within six tries, then share your result or switch to the 80s, 90s, video game or movie theme edition.
Tips
- Concentrate on the first sound: a sung first word, a piano chord or a synth sweep often narrows it down quickly.
- A wrong guess costs the same as a skip, so skip when you have no real idea.
- The main edition favours heavily streamed hits from the last decade; think of what has been on playlists for years, not just this month.
- Play the edition that suits what you know best; each has its own daily song.
