About Push Puzzles (Puzzleship)

You walk around a small warehouse with the arrow keys or WASD. Walking into a box pushes it one square, and you must stand behind a box to move it. A box against a wall can only slide along that wall, and a box in a corner is stuck for good unless the corner is a goal. Undo and redo are always available.

The format dates from the early 1980s and has lasted because that single restriction is enough. Filling the goals furthest from your working space first keeps the middle clear, and checking where you will stand after each push avoids sealing yourself away from the next box.

Puzzleship publishes six warehouses of Push Puzzles a day, graded from very easy to ultra hard. Each day's warehouses are numbered and dated, the same for every player, and appear at midnight in your own time zone; earlier days stay playable in the archive. The site is free with ads, and a premium plan removes them.

How to play Push Puzzles (Puzzleship)

1. Open Push Puzzles and pick one of the day's six warehouses.
2. Move with the arrow keys or WASD.
3. Walk into a box to push it one square; you cannot pull boxes.
4. Push every box onto a goal square.
5. Press U or Ctrl+Z to undo; compare your pushes with the par.

Tips

• Never push a box into a corner that is not a goal.
• Fill the awkward far goals first.
• Before each push, check where you will be standing afterwards.
• A box on a wall can only move along that wall.
