About Arrow Escape (Puzzleship)

Tapping an arrow slides it off the board if every cell between its head and the edge is empty; otherwise the tap is rejected and the blocked arrow flashes. Arrows can bend along their bodies, but only the head's direction matters. Removing an arrow frees all the cells it covered, which can release several others.

It is forgiving by design: taking an arrow only ever empties cells, so a free arrow stays free and no order can ruin the board. The difficulty is in seeing the chain of blockers, and long arrows, which block the most lanes, are usually the key.

Puzzleship publishes six tangles of Arrow Escape a day, graded from very easy to ultra hard. Each day's tangles are numbered and dated, the same for every player, and appear at midnight in your own time zone; earlier days stay playable in the archive. The site is free with ads, and a premium plan removes them.

How to play Arrow Escape (Puzzleship)

1. Open Arrow Escape and pick one of the day's six tangles.
2. Look along the edges for arrows with a clear lane ahead.
3. Tap an arrow to slide it off in the direction of its head.
4. If an arrow is blocked, clear the arrows sitting in its lane first.
5. Finish when every arrow is gone.

Tips

• Take free edge arrows first; it never hurts.
• Any available move is safe, since removals only open space.
• Trace a blocked arrow's lane to find what holds it.
• Clear long arrows early; they block the most.
