Peele
Rate itTurn the day's three-letter word into PEE, one letter at a time.
Every day: One new three-letter starting word a day, the same for everyone on that UTC date, to be turned into PEE in as few one-letter moves as possible, scored against par. New puzzle: Midnight UTC, by the device's date.

Peele is a free daily word ladder with a fixed finish: every puzzle ends at PEE. Each day you get a new three-letter starting word and change one letter at a time, making a real English word at every step, and try to match the par for the shortest route.
About Peele
Peele is a small browser word ladder built around one joke and one rule. The goal never changes: every ladder ends at the word PEE. What changes each day is the starting word, a familiar three-letter word such as MAD, and your job is to walk it to PEE by changing exactly one letter per move, with each step forming a valid English word.
The game shows a par for each start, the shortest route its dictionary allows, and counts your accepted moves against it. Rejected words cost nothing, there is no timer and no move limit, and Undo and Reset let you back out of a dead end. Once you finish you can reveal a shortest route, and the share button sends your move count with a tile pattern that hides the words, so friends can find their own path.
The daily start arrives at midnight UTC, going by your device's date, and the starting words come from a list of 64 checked words, so the schedule repeats in time. A Practice mode gives a fresh start whenever you want another ladder, and progress and stats are kept in your browser with no account.
With only three letters and a fixed target, a day's puzzle takes a minute or two. It suits players who like Weaver-style ladders but want something quicker, and anyone who enjoys a bit of bathroom humour with their word play. The same page links to SHITle, a four-letter sibling that ends at SHIT.
How to play Peele
- Read the day's starting word shown above the board, next to the target PEE.
- Type a three-letter word that changes exactly one letter of the current word, keeping the other two letters in place.
- Press Enter: a valid word is added as a move, and a rejected one costs nothing.
- Keep changing one letter at a time from your last accepted word until you reach PEE.
- Compare your move count with par, and share your result without giving away the words.

Tips
- Work backwards from PEE: words like PEG, PET, PEN, SEE and BEE are one step away.
- A letter that already matches PEE is not locked; changing it for a step can open a shorter route.
- If a branch leads nowhere, use Undo rather than Reset to keep the good part of your route.
- Use Practice to learn which three-letter words connect well before the next daily.
