Circuits
Find the words that link every box into a chain of two-word terms.
Every day: One new Circuits puzzle a day on Puzzmo, the same for every player: fill each empty box with the one word that makes a compound term with every box linked to it, following the arrows. New puzzle: Midnight US Central Time.

Circuits is a daily word puzzle on Puzzmo built from compound words and two-word phrases. Each empty box takes one word, and that word has to join with every clue and box connected to it by an arrow, so the whole board locks together like a circuit.
About Circuits
Circuits is a Puzzmo daily created by Jacob Land, who also writes the puzzles; Madeline Kaplan edits them, after a period when Brooke Husic did. Land has said a puzzle usually waits about a month between construction and its day on the page.
The board is a set of boxes joined by arrows. Some boxes hold clue words, some are empty. Each arrow means the two words make a term when read in its direction: COMMON then SENSE, or SENSE then ORGAN. An empty box has exactly one answer, and it must work with every arrow that touches it. Some clue boxes offer two options, written with an OR, to point you in the right direction.
If you are stuck you can spend a Bolt to reveal a letter, at a cost to your score. Everyone gets the same board for the date, and Puzzmo records your time and points. Solving one box often hands you a letter or a word for the next, so a board can come together quickly once the first link is found.
It suits people who like Connections, crossword fill and word association games, and want a short puzzle with a single correct answer.
How to play Circuits
- Open today's Circuits on puzzmo.com or in the Puzzmo app.
- Look at the clue boxes and the arrows that connect them to the empty boxes.
- Pick an empty box and think of a word that makes a term with every word pointing into or out of it, in the direction of each arrow.
- Type the word into the box; it must fit all of its arrows.
- Fill every box to complete the circuit, spending a Bolt to reveal a letter only if you need one.
Tips
- Start with the empty box that has the most arrows; more constraints make the answer easier to find.
- Say each pair aloud in the direction of the arrow; the order matters.
- When a clue box offers two options, try your word with each; one of them will make the term.
- Solve without Bolts first, since they cost points.
