About Papiamento Wordle

Papiamento Wordle's motto is "un palabra pa dia", one word a day. The home page explains, in Papiamento, that you have six tries to find the word, that each guess must be a valid five-letter word, and that there is a new word every day in Papiamento, also known as Papiamentu on Curaçao and Bonaire.

After each guess, every tile shows how close you are: one colour for the right letter in the right position, another for a letter that is in the word but in another position, and a third for a letter that is not in the word. When the round ends you see your results distribution and streak, and a message to try again tomorrow if you missed.

The word is chosen from the date, so everyone playing on the same day gets the same one, and it changes at midnight. Playing never needs an account; signing in is optional and only syncs your progress and streak between devices. There is a dark mode for playing at night.

It suits Papiamento speakers on the islands and in the diaspora, and learners of the language.

How to play Papiamento Wordle

1. Open papiamentowordle.com.
2. Type a valid five-letter Papiamento word and press Enter.
3. Read the tiles: right letter in the right place, right letter in another place, or not in the word.
4. Find the word within six tries and come back the next day.

Tips

• Guesses must be real Papiamento words, so think of everyday words rather than letter patterns.
• Start with a word using common vowels such as a, e and o.
• Sign in only if you want your streak on more than one device; it is not needed to play.
