m🙂jie is a daily movie quiz in emoji. Each day it sets three films, easy, medium and hard, linked by a theme of the day, and you type each title from its emoji clue with four guesses per film. A second daily puzzle asks you to sort emoji into groups of four that belong to the same movie.

About m🙂jie (Mojie Quiz)

m🙂jie (Mojie Quiz) is a browser game for film fans built around emoji. The main daily challenge gives you three movies, coloured green, blue and purple for easy, medium and hard, and a theme that links them. The game's own example: under the theme Bon Appétit, a chef, a rat and a plate of pasta spell out Ratatouille.

You type your answer for each film and have four guesses per movie. If you are stuck, hint buttons under each clue can reveal more, such as the year or the genre, at the cost of a light bulb penalty on your result. Solving a film within its guesses earns a tick, and once all three are done you can see and share your results, along with how hard other players found the day and a rank that climbs as you play.

The second daily game works like Connections for movies: a grid of emoji to sort into four groups that each share a film, with no more than four mistakes, each group revealed in its colour as you solve it.

It suits movie buffs who enjoy Emovi or Framed and like a puzzle with a theme to chew on.

How to play m🙂jie (Mojie Quiz)

  1. Open m🙂jie and read the theme of the day.
  2. Look at the emoji clue for the first, easiest movie and type its title.
  3. Use up to four guesses per movie; reveal a hint if needed, at a small penalty.
  4. Solve all three movies to see and share your results.
  5. Play the grouping puzzle: pick four emoji that share a movie and submit, with at most four mistakes.

Tips

  • Read the theme first: it often rules out most films before you look at the emoji.
  • Emoji are usually in story order, so the first ones set the scene and the last ones give the ending.
  • Save hints for the hard purple movie, where the penalty is worth paying.
