Mentle
Rate itTwenty mental maths problems, one clock, graded against everyone who played today.
Every day: One numbered sheet of twenty mental maths problems a day, the same for everyone, timed by one clock and graded against all players that day. New puzzle: Once a day.

Mentle is a free daily mental maths sprint. Everyone gets the same numbered sheet of twenty problems, addition and subtraction under 200, times tables to 12 and division, and races one clock. A wrong answer simply waits until you type the right one, and your time is graded against the whole class that day.
About Mentle
Mentle is styled like a school worksheet. Each day there is one numbered sheet, and when you press Start the first problem appears large on the screen with a timer running in the corner and a strip of twenty boxes along the top for your progress.
The problems are plain arithmetic: addition and subtraction under 200, times tables up to 12, and division. You type each answer. There is no penalty screen for a mistake: a wrong answer just sits there until you correct it, so errors cost time rather than points.
When the sheet is done your time is graded against everyone else who played that day, which the game calls the whole class. Practice sheets, Daily and Honors, let you warm up without counting toward the day's result.
It suits players who want a quick daily workout for mental arithmetic and a single time to beat.
How to play Mentle
- Open Mentle and press Start on today's numbered sheet.
- Work out the problem on screen in your head and type the answer.
- If the answer is wrong, keep typing until it is right; the clock keeps running.
- Go through all twenty problems as fast as you can.
- See your time and your grade against everyone who played today.

Tips
- Warm up with a practice sheet before the daily; practice does not count.
- For sums near 200, add the tens first and the units last.
- Accuracy saves more time than speed: a wrong answer has to be fixed before you can move on.
