Every day: A Daily puzzle of Cross Math, the same grid for everyone that day, alongside unlimited Easy, Medium and Hard grids. New puzzle: Once a day; the page counts down to the next daily puzzle but does not say at what hour.

Cross Math is a free browser puzzle from Logic Puzzles Online. The grid is laid out like a crossword, but each line is an equation with its signs and results already in place, and you fill the empty cells with digits until every row and column is true. There is a Daily puzzle each day as well as Easy, Medium and Hard grids to play at any time.
About Cross Math
Cross Math is one of the puzzles on Logic Puzzles Online, a free site with sudoku, Queens, minesweeper, nonograms and other grid puzzles that plays in the browser without an account. The site offers it in English and in eight other languages.
A Cross Math grid looks like a small crossword whose words are sums. The plus, minus, times and divide signs and the equals signs are fixed, and so are the results; the empty cells take digits. Rows are read left to right and columns top to bottom, and the puzzle is solved when every equation in the grid checks out.
Each day the page offers a Daily puzzle with a countdown to the next one, next to separate Easy, Medium and Hard grids you can play as often as you like. Because each digit sits in a row and a column at once, a single placement often settles a second equation, so solving goes from the lines with one gap outwards.
It suits players who like Nerdle or KenKen and want an arithmetic puzzle that is all deduction and no guessing, at a length that fits a coffee break.
How to play Cross Math
- Open Cross Math and choose Today's Daily.
- Look at the fixed signs and results: each row and each column is one equation.
- Fill an empty cell with a digit so that the equations through it can still be true.
- Read rows left to right and columns top to bottom, as the signs in the grid show.
- Keep going until every equation in the grid is correct.
Tips
- Start with equations that have only one empty cell: they give their digit straight away.
- Rows and columns with multiplication or division leave the fewest digits that fit, so do them early.
- After each digit, check the crossing equation: it often drops to a single unknown.
