Luminary
Read a clue about an actor and pick their face from four photos.
Every day: Three questions a day, the same for every player: each gives a one-sentence clue about an actor and four headshots, and you tap the right face within 30 seconds. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

Luminary is a quick daily actor trivia game from the makers of Plot-hole and TV Addict. Each day has three questions: a sentence about an actor, such as a role they played or an award they won, and four headshots. Tap the right one within 30 seconds; the score is out of three.
About Luminary
Luminary is the shortest of the daily screen games from the team behind Plot-hole and TV Addict. Each day has a numbered puzzle of three questions, the same for everyone, and an archive of past days.
Every question pairs a one-sentence clue with four actor photos. The clue might name a role, a film the actor is known for or an award they won. You tap the face that fits. There are 30 seconds per question, and running out counts as wrong. After each answer the game names all four actors and adds a short fact about the right one.
Scoring is simple: one point per correct answer, three at most. Streaks reward playing every day. Like its sister games it is free with no account, no ads and no paywall.
It suits players who know faces better than names, and anyone who wants a one-minute warm-up before a longer film puzzle.
How to play Luminary
- Open Luminary and start the day's puzzle.
- Read the sentence clue about an actor: a role, a film or an award.
- Look at the four headshots and tap the one that fits, within 30 seconds.
- See who all four actors are and a fact about the answer.
- Answer all three questions and share your score out of three.
Tips
- If the clue names a film, picture its leads before you look at the photos.
- Rule out the faces you know do not fit, then choose among the rest.
- Move fast: 30 seconds goes quickly.
- Read the facts after each answer; they help on later days.
