level
Rate itPut four of twelve things on each side of a scale so their hidden numbers come out even.
Every day: Two new puzzles a day, a Classic and a Hard, the same for everyone: twelve things with a hidden number (a weight, a sum of money, a box office total) to split four against four. New puzzle: Midnight UTC (00:00 UTC), when both puzzles change.

level is a daily balancing puzzle. Each day brings two sets of twelve things, each with a number you cannot see, such as a weight or a sum of money. You put four on each side of a scale, weigh up to three times to check, and try to lock in a split as close to 50/50 as you can.
About level
level is a browser puzzle at leveldaily.app, run by Faizan Raza and launched in October 2026. Every day at midnight UTC it puts out two puzzles, a Classic and a Hard, and every player gets the same ones. No sign-up is needed to play.
Each puzzle names a measure, for example how much money residents of a set of countries sent abroad in 2023, or the box office takings of a set of films, and lays twelve things on the bench. You place four on Side A and four on Side B; the other four sit out. The aim is to make the two sides' hidden totals as even as you can.
You have three weighs per puzzle. A weigh tips the scale toward the heavier side and tells you whether you are getting warmer or colder than your last try, so you can swap things and test again. You also get two hunches, each of which reveals one thing's hidden number, though using one rules out the sticker for a pure gut call. A calculator sits at the top of the board for adding up what you know. When you are happy, you lock in, and the game shows the final split and how you rank against other players that day.
Finishing both puzzles in a day earns the daily double sticker, and other stickers reward things like a top result with no weighs. Results can be shared as text or as an image card, and your record keeps your streak. The game cites the data source behind each puzzle on its Sources page.
level suits players who like estimation games such as Tilt or Weightle but want a puzzle about real-world figures and a bit of trial and error, rather than a single guess.
How to play level
- Open leveldaily.app and choose the Classic or the Hard puzzle for today.
- Read the measure at the top, such as a film's box office takings or an animal's weight.
- Tap a thing on the bench, then tap Side A or Side B, or drag it there, until each side holds four.
- Tap a thing on one side and then one on the other to swap them.
- Press Weigh it to see which side is heavier and whether you are warmer or colder than before; you have three weighs.
- If you are stuck, press Hunch and then a thing to see its hidden number; you have two.
- Press Lock in when you are happy with the split to see the true figures and your rank.

Tips
- Put the thing you think is largest on one side and balance it with two or three mid-sized ones on the other.
- The four that sit out matter: leave out the outliers you are least sure about.
- Use a hunch on the thing you are least sure of, not on one you already know roughly.
- Change only one or two things between weighs so you can tell what moved the scale.
