Eight quick brain items against one 60-second clock, scored out of 100 by a deadpan dystopian bureaucracy.

Every day: One numbered audit a day: eight quick items (mental arithmetic, pattern matching, working memory and sequences), seeded from the date so every player gets the same set, scored out of 100. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

A filed LastControl Daily Audit #2 result card: score 25 out of 100, stamped Flagged, with the verdict, streak, a countdown to the next audit and a shareable result block

LastControl: Daily Audit is a 60-second browser quiz of eight short items: sums in your head, patterns, memory and number sequences. Everyone gets the same date-seeded set each day, and you come away with a score out of 100, a dry verdict from the game's fictional bureaucracy and a streak to protect.

About LastControl: Daily Audit

LastControl: Daily Audit is the free front door to LastControl, a dark management game by SOSW LTD about running a facility for a hostile bureaucracy. The audit is framed as your operator screening: a short test you file, which is then scored, stamped and handed back with a verdict.

Each day's audit has eight items covering mental arithmetic, pattern matching, working memory and sequences, all against a single 60-second clock. The set is seeded from the date, so everyone playing on the same day sees the same items, and a new audit goes up at midnight UTC. Past days can be replayed from dated links.

When you finish you get a result card with your score out of 100, the audit number, your streak and a one-line verdict such as "Below baseline. Filed. The workers will know." Keeping a daily streak changes the verdict text. There is a Wordle-style block to paste, a challenge link and a permalink to your score, and an unscored practice mode once you have filed.

The developers are clear that it is a game score and not an IQ or medical test. The audit needs no account and keeps your score and streak in your browser; the larger LastControl game with a base, workers and a shared market sits behind a Google sign-in. The itch.io page is a small launcher that opens the game at game.last-control.com.

How to play LastControl: Daily Audit

  1. Open game.last-control.com/play (or launch it from the itch.io page).
  2. Start the audit; one 60-second clock covers all eight items.
  3. Answer each item as it comes: a sum in your head, a pattern, something to remember or the next number in a sequence.
  4. Read your score out of 100 and the verdict on the filed result card.
  5. Copy the result block or challenge link to share, and come back after midnight UTC to keep your streak.

Tips

  • The clock is shared across all eight items, so do not stall on one; a quick guess leaves time for the rest.
  • Use the unscored practice mode after filing to get used to the item types before tomorrow.
  • Your streak lives in your browser, so play on the same device and browser each day.

Questions

At midnight UTC.

Is it an IQ test?

No. The developers say it is not normed or diagnostic in any way; the score out of 100 is a game score.
