Kula (NRK)
Roll, bounce and jump a ball over the day's hilly course faster than the rest of Norway.
Every day: A new course every day, the same for everyone in Norway: roll, bounce and jump a ball to the finish line as fast as you can and compare your time with the whole country or a group of friends. New puzzle: Midnight, Norway time (Europe/Oslo).

Kula is a one-button racing game from NRK with a new course every day. You hold to shrink the ball and let go to jump, using the hills to build speed, and race ghost balls of other players toward the finish to set a time for the national league or your own group.
About Kula (NRK)
Kula (the ball) is one of NRK's daily mini games, made by the same small team behind Tvers and Former. Each day there is a new course, a rolling landscape of hills and dips between the start and a flagpole at the finish, and everyone races the same one.
The controls use one button. Hold it to make the ball shrink and charge, and release to jump: the longer you hold, the higher the jump, and the ball glows when it has full energy. The game's own tip is to roll down slopes and jump off the tops of hills. On a keyboard the space bar does the same, and R restarts a run, so you can try the course as many times as you like.
Other balls on the course show a selection of the day's players. Some are markers: beat the Elite ball and you are in the top 5 percent, beat the Top tier ball and you are in the top 20 percent, while finishing behind the Bottom tier ball puts you in the slowest 20 percent. Times over 60 seconds are not shown. Log in with an NRK account to save your record, and create or join a group to compete with friends each day; your best time counts in every group you belong to.
It suits anyone who likes short skill games with a daily leaderboard, such as daily golf games, and it needs a browser with WebGL.
How to play Kula (NRK)
- Open Kula on nrk.no and start today's course, choosing a group if you have one.
- Hold the button or space bar to shrink the ball and charge it.
- Release to jump: the longer you held, the higher the ball goes.
- Roll down slopes and jump from hilltops to keep your speed.
- Cross the finish line as fast as you can, then press R or restart to beat your time.
Tips
- Wait for the glow before a big jump: it means the ball has full energy.
- Land on downhill slopes rather than flat ground to keep momentum.
- Use the Elite and Top tier balls as pacers to see where you are losing time.
