Ladder how-to-play panel over the day's ranking of Asian countries by population

Ladder is Hemiscope's daily ranking game. Each day brings a category, such as the most populous Asian countries, and a set of photos to put in order; every item in exactly the right slot scores a point and one place out scores half.

About Hemiscope Ladder

Ladder is one of the daily puzzles on Hemiscope, a collection of geography, history and logic games from Kyro Game Studios that also includes Timeline. Each day has one numbered Ladder (number 44 on 2 October 2026), and the category rotates: the site mentions NBA scoring leaders, tallest mountains and busiest airports, and the day we checked asked for Asian countries by population.

You see the photos, between six and ten of them, and drag them into the order you think is right, from the top of the ladder down. You only get one shot, so check before you submit. Each photo in exactly the right place earns a point, and one that is one place out earns half a point.

An answers page explains past rankings. It suits trivia fans who like numbers and comparisons, and anyone who enjoys a quick daily ranking.

How to play Hemiscope Ladder

  1. Open Ladder on Hemiscope and read today's category.
  2. Drag each photo into a slot, from first to last.
  3. Check your order: you get one submission.
  4. Submit to see your score: a point for each exact slot, half for one place out.

Tips

  • Place the items you are surest about at the top and bottom first.
  • Half points for near misses mean a sensible order beats a lucky guess.
