Gridmino: play logic puzzles every day

Gridmino publishes a fresh set of logic puzzles every day: NumberLink paths, Masyu loops, pentomino and tetromino grids, dice puzzles, ball sorting and several word games. The daily puzzles are free with no ads or sign-up, and an optional yearly pass adds extra puzzles and the archive.

About Gridmino

Gridmino is a small puzzle site that puts out one puzzle a day for each of its games. The list covers classic pen-and-paper types and a few of its own: NumberLink, where you join matching numbers with paths that do not cross; MasyuLink, a loop through black and white pearls; PentoStars and PentoLinked, which use five-cell pentomino pieces; TetroGrid with four-cell tetrominoes; KakuMino, a domino puzzle with a Kakuro variant; EdgeMatch tiles; DiceSweep, which works like Minesweeper with dice; BallTubes sorting; CountShapes and NumberMatch; and word games such as WordGrid, WordScramble and WordTubes.

Many games come in several sizes, for example NumberLink at 8x8 or 10x10 and WordScramble from five to eight letters, so the same day can be a quick break or a longer session. Each puzzle has undo and redo, and some offer a hint or the solution if you give up. The day's set follows the date on your device.

The daily puzzles are free, carry no ads and need no account. An optional Bonus Pass, $12 a year through Ko-fi, unlocks extra puzzles for every game, more sizes and variants and the full archive; every pass ends on 31 December. Gridmino suits players who like to sample several puzzle types each day rather than one long grid.

How to play Gridmino

  1. Open Gridmino and pick a game from the day's set.
  2. Choose a size or difficulty where the game offers one.
  3. Read the game's How to play panel for its rules.
  4. Solve the puzzle, using undo and redo as you go.
  5. Move on to the next game in the day's set, or come back tomorrow for a new one.

Tips

  • Start each type at its smallest size until the rules feel natural.
  • In NumberLink, connect the numbers along the edges first; they have the fewest routes.
  • In Masyu, a black pearl always turns, so mark the straight runs leading out of it early.
