Flickle
Name the day's film from short video clips, with a new clip after each miss.
Every day: One mystery film a day, the same for everyone, to name from short video clips; each skip or wrong guess unlocks another clip, up to six tries. New puzzle: Midnight local time.

Flickle plays a short clip from a mystery film and asks you to name it. A wrong guess or a skip unlocks the next clip, and you have six tries in all. A new film comes each day, and every past round since April 2022 is open in the archive.
About Flickle
Flickle is a daily film guessing game that started in April 2022; its first numbered round is dated 13 April 2022, and it has run every day since, passing round 1,600 in 2026. Instead of still frames, it shows short moving clips from the film.
You start with one clip and type a title, picking from the suggestions. If you are wrong, or you choose to skip, another clip from the same film unlocks. You have six tries, and the share grid shows how many you needed. Some days bring back an older round as a replay.
The round follows the date on your own device, so a new film appears at midnight where you are. The archive lists every earlier round and lets you play any of them, or a random one, without an account.
How to play Flickle
- Watch the first clip of the day's mystery film.
- Start typing a title and pick the film from the suggestions.
- If the guess is wrong, or you press Skip, the next clip unlocks.
- Name the film within six tries, then share your result.
Tips
- Look past the action at sets, costumes, cars, phones and picture quality to place the film's era.
- Skipping costs a try just like a wrong guess, so guess when you have a real candidate.
- Pick the exact title from the suggestions; several films can share a name.
- Use the archive to practise on older rounds.
