Flagsplit shows every colour in one country's flag as a slice of a pie chart, sized by how much of the flag it covers. You have six guesses to name the country. Each day's puzzle is dated, and past days are in an archive.

About Flagsplit

Flagsplit strips a flag down to its colours. The day's puzzle is a pie chart whose slices are the colours of one country's flag, each sized by how much of the flag it covers. Stripes, shapes, stars and emblems are gone; all you have is the colour split.

You type a country and guess, with six guesses in all. Because many flags share the same colours, the game is about proportions: a red and white flag split half and half is a very different answer from one where white is only a thin band. The game keeps your stats, has a daily leaderboard, and an archive of past daily puzzles to catch up on.

It suits players of Flagle and Flagpie who know their flags well enough to judge them by colour share alone, and anyone who wants to look at familiar flags in a new way.

How to play Flagsplit

  1. Open flagsplit.lovable.app to see today's pie chart.
  2. Read the colours and how big each slice is.
  3. Type the country you think it is and guess.
  4. Use the result to rethink the colour split.
  5. Name the country within six guesses.

Tips

  • Count the colours first: two-colour flags narrow the field fast.
  • A small slice is often an emblem or a thin stripe.
  • Similar flags differ in proportions, so compare slice sizes, not just colours.
