FFDle
Guess today's Final Fantasy character, from heroes to enemies and NPCs.
Every day: One Final Fantasy character a day for everyone, who can be a hero, an enemy or an NPC from any game in the series, guessed from colour-coded attribute clues. New puzzle: Daily, with a countdown to the next puzzle.
FFDle is a free fan-made daily Final Fantasy guessing game in the Wordle style. Each day there is one character to find, drawn from heroes, enemies and NPCs across the whole series; every guess is compared with the answer and coloured green for correct, amber for a partial match and red for incorrect.
About FFDle
FFDle keeps to one mode, Classic, and casts its net wide: the day's answer can be any character, enemy or NPC from the numbered Final Fantasy games and beyond, not only the party members everyone remembers. You type a name, and the game compares your guess with the hidden character trait by trait, marking each one green when it matches, amber when it partly matches and red when it does not.
After you play you can see who yesterday's character was, such as Rosa Farrell from Final Fantasy IV, and a countdown shows when the next puzzle arrives. Statistics and settings sit in the corner.
FFDle is a fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Square Enix, supported by donations and free to play in the browser.
How to play FFDle
- Open FFDle and type the name of a Final Fantasy character.
- Submit the guess and read the coloured clues: green correct, amber partial, red incorrect.
- Use the clues to choose the next character.
- Keep guessing until you find the day's answer.
- Come back when the countdown runs out for the next one.
Tips
- Remember that enemies and NPCs are in the pool, not only playable characters.
- Settle which game the answer comes from early; it narrows the field more than anything.
- Open with a well-known character from a mid-series game to spread your clues.
