finalfantasydle is a free fan-made daily guessing game covering the whole Final Fantasy series. Each day at midnight UTC every mode gets a new subject, the same for everyone: guess the day's character, the summoned eidolon, a portrait hidden in shadow, the speaker of a quote, and a character spelled out in five emoji.
About finalfantasydle
finalfantasydle spreads the Loldle formula across the Final Fantasy games. Its five modes each have one subject a day. In Character you name a hero, villain or party member, and each guess narrows things down; after a few guesses a hint opens with the title the character debuted in, and later one with the first letter of the name. Summon asks for the day's eidolon, Silhouette shows a shrouded portrait that sharpens with every wrong guess, Quote gives a line to attribute, and Emoji spells a character out in five emoji.
The list of possible answers is large, with more than five hundred entries in the Character archive, and after you play the game shows yesterday's subject. The interface is offered in nine languages, among them English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Stats and a streak keep track of your days.
It is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Square Enix, and its makers run two sister games on the same model, falloutdle and residentevildle.
How to play finalfantasydle
- Open finalfantasydle and pick a mode, starting with Character.
- Type the name of a Final Fantasy character and submit it.
- Use the feedback on each guess, and the debut-title and first-letter hints as they unlock, to narrow it down.
- Find the day's subject, then move on to Summon, Silhouette, Quote and Emoji.
- Come back after midnight UTC for new subjects.

Tips
- Start Character with someone from a game you know well, so the clues are easy to read.
- Wait for the debut-title hint if you are unsure; it rules out most of the series at once.
- In Emoji, read the five symbols as a rebus of the name or of a famous trait, not only of the look.
