residentevildle home: the RESIDENTEVILDLE title over a foggy village with a scarecrow, and mode buttons for Character, Creature, Dossier, Silhouette and Emoji

residentevildle is a free fan-made daily guessing game for the Resident Evil series. Each day brings one subject per mode for everyone: guess the survivor, hero or villain, identify the day's bioweapon, unmask the subject of a classified report, name a shrouded portrait and decode five emoji.

About residentevildle

residentevildle applies the multi-mode daily formula of games like Loldle to Resident Evil. Character asks for the day's survivor, hero or villain, with each wrong guess narrowing the field. Creature is about the series' bioweapons, the B.O.W.s. Dossier gives you a classified report with the name blacked out and asks who it describes. Silhouette shows a portrait in shadow that sharpens with every wrong guess, and Emoji spells the subject out in five emoji fragments.

Every mode has one answer a day, the same for every player, so results can be compared and shared. The site comes from the same makers as finalfantasydle and falloutdle and works the same way, with stats and a streak kept as you play.

It is an unofficial fan project and plays free in the browser.

How to play residentevildle

  1. Open residentevildle and choose a mode, starting with Character.
  2. Type a Resident Evil character's name and submit it.
  3. Use what each guess reveals to narrow down the day's answer.
  4. Move on to Creature, Dossier, Silhouette and Emoji.
  5. Come back the next day for new subjects.

Tips

  • In Dossier, look for the game, location and affiliation in the report; they rule out most of the cast.
  • In Creature, think about which game a monster first appeared in before guessing names.
  • Use Silhouette's sharpening portrait: a wrong guess on purpose can be worth the clearer view.
