Pokédle at pokedle.today is a fan-made daily Pokémon guessing game covering all 1025 Pokémon. Classic compares each guess's type, generation, colour, evolution stage, height and weight with the answer, and four more daily modes use a silhouette, a pixelated image, a cry and a written description.

About Pokédle (pokedle.today)

This Pokédle is one of several Pokémon guessing games with similar names; this one lives at pokedle.today and numbers its daily puzzles. In Classic mode you type any Pokémon and the game compares it with the hidden one on type, generation, colour, evolution stage, height and weight. Green means a match, orange a partial match and red no match, so each guess cuts down the field.

The four other daily modes each have their own answer. Silhouette is the classic Who's that Pokémon shadow. Pixel shows a blocky image that sharpens with each guess. Cry plays the Pokémon's call, and Description gives a written description for you to match. The home page shows how many of the five you have solved today and counts down to the next Pokémon.

All players get the same puzzles, and the day resets at 00:00 UTC worldwide. A leaderboard ranks the day's players by guesses, with streak and level tables too, and you can share a report of your day. An Unlimited mode gives endless unranked practice. It is free with no sign-up, and draws its data from the community PokéAPI project.

It suits players who know all generations, since the pool runs to every Pokémon so far.

How to play Pokédle (pokedle.today)

  1. Open pokedle.today and start Classic.
  2. Type any Pokémon's name as your first guess.
  3. Read the colours for type, generation, colour, evolution stage, height and weight: green a match, orange partial, red none.
  4. Keep guessing until you find the Pokémon, then play Silhouette, Pixel, Cry and Description.
  5. Share your report and check the day's leaderboard.

Tips

  • Use height and weight arrows together; they narrow the field quickly once the type is known.
  • Open with a dual-type Pokémon to test two types at once.
  • In Cry mode, decide the generation first: older cries sound more electronic.
