Extraplot on desktop: the 2 November 2026 chart of US baby girls named Khaleesi, with a guessed pink line drawn past the 2012 cut-off and the Reveal button

Extraplot is a daily chart game on GuessDash, formerly called Trendraw. Each day brings five real statistics, each shown only up to a dashed cut-off year. You sketch the missing years, and the closer your line stays to the real one, the more of the 1,000 points per chart you keep.

About Extraplot (GuessDash)

Extraplot is one of the free daily puzzles on GuessDash, a site of short guessing games about maps, history, art and data made by one person in the Netherlands. The game used to be called Trendraw, and its old address now leads here. Every player gets the same dated board of five charts, and a new board arrives at midnight Amsterdam time.

Each chart has a title and a unit, such as "US baby girls named Khaleesi" per 100,000 girls born. The real line runs up to a dashed cut-off year and the rest of the chart is shaded. You drag across the shaded side to draw every remaining year, and the button reads "Draw to 2025" until your line reaches the end. Drawing over a stretch again redoes it, and the arrow keys work for players without a mouse.

Press "Reveal" and the real line appears over yours with a short note on what happened. The board of 2 November 2026 also asked about Google searches for Bluey, Harley-Davidson shipments, China's share of the world economy and Manchester United's league titles. Each chart names its source, from the US Social Security Administration to Google Trends.

The charts run from warm-ups to harder ones, and a few minutes is enough for the whole board. Without an account your results stay in your browser. A free account keeps scores across devices, adds friends and opens past days. It suits anyone who reads the news with a chart in mind and wants to test a hunch about how things turned out.

How to play Extraplot (GuessDash)

  1. Open Extraplot on GuessDash to load today's board of five charts.
  2. Read the title, the unit and the dashed cut-off year on the first chart.
  3. Drag across the shaded side to draw your line year by year, up to the last year marked.
  4. Draw over any stretch you want to change. Your line always starts from the last known point.
  5. Press "Reveal" to see the real line and the note on what happened, then go on to the next chart.

Tips

  • Think about what came after the cut-off year: a hit show, a law, a crash or a new technology can bend a line fast.
  • Check the scale on the side before you draw. A chart's top value hints at how high the line may climb.
  • Real data rarely moves in a smooth curve, so a sharp spike or drop can be the right call.

Questions

Is Extraplot the same game as Trendraw?

Yes. GuessDash renamed it, and the old trendraw address now opens Extraplot.

Is the board the same for everyone?

Yes. Every player gets the same five charts on a given day, and a new board comes at midnight Amsterdam time.

How is it scored?

Each chart is worth up to 1,000 points, given for how close your line stays to the real one.

Do I need an account?

No. Today's board plays without one. A free account keeps scores on every device, adds friends and lets you replay earlier days.

Can I play with a keyboard?

Yes. Focus the chart, then use left and right to pick a year and up and down to set its value.
