Docket on mindloftdaily.com: seven numbered conditions about six witnesses, a scratchpad bar, and question 1 of 5 with five answer choices A to E

Docket is a free daily logic puzzle from Mind Loft in the style of the analytical reasoning section once used on a well known admissions test. Each day gives a setup, such as six witnesses called in order, a set of conditions, and five multiple-choice questions to answer from them.

About Docket (Mind Loft)

Docket brings back the logic game, the reasoning format that a standardized admissions test ran for decades before retiring it. Each day has one small world with a name, for example The Oath Book: counsel calls six witnesses, F, G, H, J, K and L, one at a time in positions 1 to 6, and each is either sworn or affirmed. Seven numbered conditions follow, such as J is called before F, or no two witnesses in a row are both sworn.

You then answer five questions about the setup, one at a time, each with five options. Typical questions ask which list could be accurate, or what must be true if one extra fact is added. The conditions stay on screen the whole time, because the deductions you make for one question are meant to be reused on the next. A scratchpad lets you sketch the diagram, and you can cross off options you have ruled out.

Your score counts correct answers, and a progress bar and clock show how far through the five you are. A new setup arrives every day at midnight Eastern, with a harder one on Sundays. It suits anyone who has studied for that test, or who enjoys ordering and grouping puzzles that are written out in words rather than drawn as a grid.

How to play Docket (Mind Loft)

  1. Open Docket and press Start to read the day's setup and conditions.
  2. Work out what the conditions force; sketch it in the scratchpad if it helps.
  3. Answer the five questions one at a time, crossing off options you have ruled out.
  4. Your score is the number of questions answered correctly.

Tips

  • Combine conditions before reading the questions: a fixed block like K immediately before L shrinks the possibilities a lot.
  • For 'could be accurate' questions, test each condition against all five options and strike the ones that break it.
  • Keep deductions from earlier questions; Docket is built so they carry over.
